The CLF Commemorative Wall is a permanent ceramic mural that celebrates the lives of leukemia patients and salutes those who helped in the process. The wall was created by Toronto artist Angelo di Petta. It features three faces; an African American boy, a Caucasian woman and an Asian girl. These likenesses showcase the diversity of leukemia patients, and they also represent the hope that comes from early diagnosis and treatment, and the loving support of family and friends.
The cost of the Commemorative Wall was underwritten by a generous family donation and was designed for three distinct tributes:
- In Honor Of is given as an expression of gratitude
- Celebrating heralds the life of a leukemia (or other blood related disorder) survivor
- In Memoriam remembers those who are no longer with us.
All donations to this special tribute will fund patient programs and be used to further the work of Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan.
